The Seerkind, a magical race, needed somewhere to hide or face extinction. Using all their strongest raptures they wove their most valuble posessions, their favourite places and themselves into a carpet. This way the evil force set against them would be unable to find them. But, the land of the Cuckoos (humans) is a dangerous place so they left guardians to protect the world. But what if they were to die?
Cal Mooney and Suzanna Parish are drawn into a world of joy, wonder and horror in equal measure. Where they must fight the powers of Immacolata and her twin sisters. To save a world they never knew existed.
This is a very immaginative book with an excellant mixture of fantasy and horror. The story twists and turns and becomes more interesting with each. Cliver Barker has created a fantasy world you can almost believe is real. Set against the backdrop of Liverpool, England. This setting brings new colour to the fantasy world and only works to make it more believable and more tangible.
